BSF, Pakistan Rangers to resume Commandant-level talks
The practice was suspended one-and-a-half years ago.
The border guarding forces of India and Pakistan have decided to resume Commandant-level talks along the International Border (IB) to resolve local issues.
The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers have decided to initiate dialogue at the local level, a practice that was suspended one-and-a-half years ago.
Director General of BSF K.K Sharma said on Friday that both the forces agreed to the proposal and the meetings would be held at regular intervals after a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart.
A 19-member delegation of Pakistan Rangers, led by Major General Muhammad Saeed, Director General, Sindh Rangers, concluded a three-day visit in Delhi on Friday. They had come to attend the 44th biannual Director General-level talks.
