India express shock over Pakistan’s recognition of Hafiz Saeed’s political party

Ministry of External Affairs expressed shock over Pakistan recognising political party floated by Jamat-Ud-Dawah chief and dreaded terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said that Pakistan is under global obligations to take actions against Hafiz Sayeed.

Last year, Pakistan-based terrorist Hafiz Saeed’s organisation Jamaat Ud Daawa launched a political party — Milli Muslim League (MML).  

The United Nations has designated JuD as a front for the Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist group founded by Saeed in 1992. Moreover, the US government has put a bounty of $10 million on Saeed who, among other incidents of terrorism, masterminded the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008.Speaking about the India-China relation, the MEA also said that sound development of ties between India & China factor of stability in the region.

When asked about Dawood Ibrahim’s close aide Mushtaq Mohammad Farooq Takla, the MEA said that Farooq Takla is a fugitive and was deported to India after Government of India got in touch with the Dubai government.
