Lok Sabha adjourns till Tuesday
Lok Sabha Sepaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the House for the day saying it is not in order.
After the laying of papers amid a din, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she has received notices for no-confidence in the Council of Ministers from Y.V. Subba Reddy (YSRCP) and Thota Narasimham (TDP).
She said she is duty bound to take these up and those in the treasury benches have no problem with it. She said she can do so only if the House is in order.
Ms. Mahajan said that she needs to count 50 members supporting the motion at their seats but can’t do so because of the protests in the Well. She then adjourned the House, saying it is not in order. She added that due to Ram Navmi, the House will meet on Tuesday.
