Thane family wakes up to find leopard in the kitchen, locks her up

As per a review delivered in March this year, the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region has the most elevated reported thickness of panthers on the planet

THANE: A Thane family ran out of their home and catapulted it from outside after they found a panther in the kitchen right off the bat Tuesday, individuals acquainted with the matter said. The panther was in the long run saved by authorities from the woodland division and Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) after eight hours.

Backwoods authorities said the panther went into a house in Umbarkhand town in Khardi region when the Lahu Nimse’s family was still snoozing.

“The panther entered the kitchen when the family was still snoozing,” said Laxman Chikhale, range timberland official. Somebody awakened on hearing the clamor and detected the panther in the kitchen. “They hurried out of the house, locked the house and cautioned their neighbors,” he added. The Khardi backwoods group was educated about the interruption.
Chikhale said backwoods division authorities likewise demanded a group of SGNP which arrived at the spot. “Our groups figured out how to save the creature in around two hours,” he said. The panther was tranquilised and moved out.

Authorities said the panther, a female, was around a few years of age and may have come from Sanjay Gandhi National Park which is encircled by Thane on one side and Mumbai rural areas on the other three.

A concentrate by scientists at the Wildlife Conservation Society (India), as a team with the Wildlife Institute of India (Dehradun) and the Maharashtra woodland division, delivered for the current year said the public park in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region has the most noteworthy recorded thickness of panthers on the planet, at around 26 panthers in each 100sqkm.
