Bihar BJP burns effigies of Lalu Prasad, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to mark Anti-Black Money Day

To mark the Anti-Black Money Day, BJP party workers in Bihar reportedly burned effigies of leaders who opposed to demonetisation, including that of RJD leader Lalu Prasad, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, etc.

Members of the BJP party in Bihar reportedly burned effigies of opposition leaders while ‘celebrating’ one year of the demonetisation announcement.

To mark the ‘Anti-Black Money Day’, the party workers burned effigies of leaders who opposed to demonetisation, including that of RJD leader Lalu Prasad, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Reports say there were also effigies of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Ministers Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and DMK chief A Raja.

BJP MLA Nitin Navin, who was leading the protest in Patna, said that only politicians who were badly affected due to demonetization opposed to it.

Slamming Lalu Prasad and his family, who have been observing November 9 as ‘Black Day’, Bankipur MLA Nitin Navin said that the RJD supremo had been protesting against demonetisation because he has benami properties worth thousands of crores

“It is because of demonetisation that the benami properties of Lalu Prasad and his family were exposed. It is because of demonetisation that he, along with wife Rabri and son Tejaswi, was visiting Delhi and Ranchi so frequently to appear for corruption cases”, said Navin.
