Pakistan’s ISI Trying to Snare Indian Defence Personnel Training in Dhaka

Reports about Pakistan’s notorious spy agency – Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) – trying to lure Indian defence personnel by honeytrapping them have surfaced in the past, and now it is on the look out for snaring them young.

Sources within intelligence agencies have revealed that the ISI is keeping a close tab on Indian defence personnel training in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

According to sources, cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force are pursuing defence courses at the National Defence College (NDC) in Dhaka and the ISI has activated its base in the Bangladesh capital to identify potential targets.

Intelligence sources said that the ISI unit in Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka has been tasked to pickout probables whom it can approach and lure to work against India.

There are almost two dozens Indian defence officers who are pursuing courses in defence security, strategy and development at the NDC.

Earlier, reports claimed that the ISI has been using Khalistani extremists to plot targetted killings of members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Dera Sacha Sauda followers in Punjab. They are also being used to incite communal violence in Punjab.

To stoke unrest in Punjab and kill people, ISI used Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) led by Harminder Singh Mintoo, who is lodged in Moga jail.

The plot to incite tension in the state was revealed when NIA was questioning Ramandeep Singh and Hardeep Singh for investigation in the murder of an RSS member Ravinder Gosain, who was killed in Ludhiana in October 2017.

Last year, a probe by Indian cyber security cell exposed how ISI worked in tandem with Hafiz Saeed-led Jamaat-ud-Dawaa (JuD) to honeytrap an Indian Air Force (IAF) official for gaining vital security information.

IAF official Ranjith KK was arrested by Delhi Police’s Crime Branch from Bathinda, Punjab, for passing on secret info to The ISI, JuD used a fake Facebook profile by the name of Damini McNaught, to lure Ranjith.

He was reportedly paid to leak information. Investigations revealed that the Facebook account was operated from near ISI’s base in Peshwar, Pakistan.
