According to Modi, “14,500 schools will be built and upgraded under the PM-SHRI Yojana.”

The new National Education Policy would be fully embodied in these schools, Prime Minister Modi remarked on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

The Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will upgrade and develop 14,500 schools nationwide.

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Modi declared that the PM-SHRI schools would develop into role models, fully embodying the new National Education Policy.

“Today, on #TeachersDay, I’m happy to launch a new initiative: the Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana will establish and upgrade 14,500 schools throughout India. These will develop into model schools that fully embody the NEP, he added in a string of tweets.

“The PM-SHRI schools will provide education in a contemporary, transformative, and all-encompassing manner. The focus will be on a learning-centered, discovery-oriented approach to teaching. Modern infrastructure, including the newest technology, smart classrooms, sports, and more, will also be a focus, according to Modi.

The Prime Minister noted that the National Education Policy has recently changed the educational landscape and added, “I am confident that the PM-SHRI schools would continue to benefit lakhs of kids across India in the spirit of NEP.” -PTI
