Finnish woman found dead in Chennai
A 22-year old Finnish woman was found dead in a lodge in Triplicane on Wednesday morning. It is suspected that she died of an overdose.
Emilia came to India with her friend Aleksy on a tourist visa. After touring several places in the country, they reached city on Tuesday from Kanyakumari and checked in a hotel called Himalaya in Triplicane.
According to police, both consumed drugs and in the morning, Aleksy came down to receptionist and sought medical assistance since Emilia was not responding and staff found her in an unconscious state. Police and medical sevices personnel who rushed to the spot where she was, found her dead. Aleksy was rushed to the hospital.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pravesh Kumar visited the spot and conducted a preliminary enquiry.
