From Friday, you can visit Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan on all days
Earlier, the campus was open for public visits only on Fridays and on weekends.
The sprawling and scenic campus of the Raj Bhavan — the official residence of Tamil Nadu Governor in Chennai, would be open for public visit between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm on all days beginning on Friday. The tour will be conducted using battery operated vehicles.
Earlier, the campus was open for public visits only on Fridays and on weekends for which people had to register on the Raj Bhavan’s website www.tnrajbhavan.gov.in
A Raj Bhavan communication issued on Thursday said visitors would be able see the Durbar Hall, where the swearing-in ceremonies take place, the Presidential Guest House, which houses the VIP guests, the lawns of Raj Bhavan, where deer and the black bucks play along and also the main building, which houses the office of the Governor.
“A tour into the forest areas and to the Polo Ground is also included in the visit. People interested in visiting Raj Bhavan may apply at www.tnrajbhavan.gov.in,” it added.
