Ryan murder: Bus conductor granted bail by Gurugram court
Ashok Kumar was granted bail against the surety of ₹50,000
A local court here on Tuesday granted bail to the bus conductor Ashok Kumar arrested in connection with the murder of a seven-year-old student of Ryan International school in Bhondsi.
Reading out the order, Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajni Yadav said that since the bus conductor was exonerated by the Central Bureau of Investigation and a juvenile was apprehended in connection with the crime, he was allowed bail as right to liberty under the constitution. He was granted bail against the surety of ₹50,000.
Ashok’s father Ami Chand, who was present in the court, welcomed the court order saying that the truth had prevailed. He said the family had made preparations to welcome Ashok back. He might be released on Wednesday after all the paper work is completed.
Ashok was arrested by the Gurugram Police on September 8 following the murder. However, the case turned on its head after the CBI apprehended a juvenile in this connection on November 8.
