According to experts, India will have the third-largest economy by 2030

India has now defeated the UK twice in terms of economics; the first time was in 2019.

3 September, New Delhi, India (ANI): According to experts, India would surpass the United Kingdom to become the third-largest economy in the world by 2030 after it passed the UK as the fifth-largest economy in the world.

According to a prediction made by Arvind Virmani, a former chief economic advisor, by 2028 to 2030, India will overtake the United States as the third-largest economy in the world.

“It’s the trend that matters, the one that will influence opinions, our foreign policy, how we interact with other nations, and how India is perceived. It will alter how various individuals perceive India or its location. People have therefore started to realise that we are far behind China during the previous 20 to 30 years. Hopefully, this will begin to alter people’s perceptions, according to Virmani.

India has now defeated the UK twice in terms of economics; the first time was in 2019.

“It has happened twice; the first time was in 2019, so this is not the first instance. We are concentrating on capital outlays. We are working to reduce revenue expenditures, and the RBI’s inflation targeting strategy has also helped the economy grow in a very balanced way and produced results, according to Sachin Chaturvedi, DG, RIS (Research and Information System for Developing Countries).

Another expert claims that this difference between the economies of the UK and India could have an impact on the UK election.

“India should be proud of this moment. In terms of growth and the economy, we are doing incredibly well. We are the world’s economy that is growing at the fastest rate, according to the IMF. It’s practically under control now. However, the UK’s economy has been severely hurt and is not doing well. The prediction is significantly better for 2027. The Indian economy is flourishing while the rest of the world is on the verge of a recession. We are doing incredibly well, and the economy is reflecting that. The UK election will undoubtedly be impacted by this element, according to renowned economist Charan Singh.

In terms of the size of its economy in “nominal” cash terms, India behind the US, China, Japan, and Germany by about $854 billion, according to figures from the International Monetary Fund. India was ranked eleventh while the UK was fifth a decade ago. (ANI)
